Tetra

Tetra hydro iso alpha acids (THIAA) are the hydrogenated isomer of IAA produced by JRM. The product is ideal for beers requiring a strong foam and bitter taste.  

The product is typically offered as a 9% w/w solution, which is readily miscible with water. The product is recommended to be added after fermentation and before final filtration.  

The principle advantages of using Tetra are light stability and foam retention in beer, though the bittering potential is also potent. Bittering units from Tetra can replace other inputs from extract and pellets for example. The expected utilisation of Tetra may be upwards of 80% depending on the nature of dosing and efficiency of dissolving.  

We package in 20 litre UN drum containers and full IBC’s or other custom solutions can be supplied upon request.  

Tetra may be stored for up to 2 years in suitable conditions, avoiding extremes of temperature.
